Hard-to-See Growth
Besides "can and can't," what kinds of growth are there?
Growth isn't only accomplishing tasks. In common: more secure relationships, more likes, being able to choose for oneself, recovering one's feelings, being able to ask for help—these are important development too. They're just hard to see, yet they're real growth. What the family decides: what you see as "growth" differs by family, and all are valid. A guide: try using "did time and situations where they can spend securely increase this year?" Growth that's hard to see is certain growth too.
