Should a child with a disability be made to follow the same rules as others?

Valuing the same "rules" itself matters. But "the same rule" doesn't mean "the same method or amount for everyone." Fairness is delivering what each person needs, and having needed accommodation isn't special treatment. Rules shared by everyone—safety, not hurting others—should be supported so they can be kept, while the method and the form of achievement are adjusted to the child. Explaining to those around, concretely, why this child has a different form makes it easier to gain understanding.
