Awareness of Time

How can I help my child become aware of time on their own?

Time is invisible and abstract, and hard. Start from "visible time": a sand timer or timer, a clock whose remaining time shrinks in color, "until this song ends." Show the day's flow with picture cards or a schedule, giving the outlook of "next is ○○." Make "five more minutes" visible, not just a number. Before teaching clock-reading, grow the sense that "time has an end, and an order" in daily life.
