Working with Preschool
Preschool says there are no concerns, but at home my child cries or becomes angry after coming back. What information should I share with preschool?
Some children hold themselves together during preschool and show their fatigue later in a place where they feel safe. At first, try reducing questions and demands after arrival home and offer water, a snack, or quiet recovery time. When speaking with preschool, share observable details rather than only saying there is a problem: the time it happens, what came just before, how long recovery takes, and what helped. Ask whether staff notice tiredness during particular activities or times. The goal is to understand the whole day, not to decide whether home or preschool has the “correct” picture.
