Sleep (Settling, Night Waking, Naps)
Trouble falling asleep / takes a long time to fall asleep
Falling asleep depends on the systems that help the body get ready for sleep. (1) Open the curtains at the same time every morning. (2) Get plenty of active movement during the day. (3) Turn off screens and bright light starting an hour before bed. (4) Follow the same routine into bed every night. These four things help set the body clock. If it keeps taking more than 30 minutes on many nights, take another look at how long and when your child naps.
