Grammar & Sentence Building
How do we support grammar (plurals, past tense, small words, longer sentences)?
Expressive grammar — endings like -s and -ed, small words (a/the/is), and longer sentences — is often a relative challenge, while vocabulary grows well. Recast short sentences into fuller ones ("car go" → "Yes, the car is going!"), make grammar visible with word cards / written cues, and prioritise being understood over perfect grammar.
