My child drops word endings or simplifies clusters ("top" for "stop"). Is that normal?
Very common. Final-consonant deletion and cluster reduction are typical patterns. Model the whole word clearly, gently stretch the ending, and use minimal pairs where the ending changes meaning ("bee / beet", "no / nose", "back / bat") so the sound matters.
