Pace of Development & Comparing

I get down comparing my child to kids on TV or social media, or to kids the same age, or to siblings.

You may find yourself feeling low comparing your child to kids featured on TV or social media, to children the same age, or to siblings. But a video clip or a short post can't show the whole of that child's background and support. If you're going to compare, make it "this child six months ago" and look for small changes in photos, videos, and records. When the pain or self-blame lingers, don't carry it alone — talk to a parents' group, a support worker, or a medical professional.
