What is a developmental assessment for, and how should I read the results?

A developmental assessment isn't about handing out a score. It's about understanding "what skills are growing right now, and where do we support next," so it can guide the support plan. The results are a snapshot of a single moment in time, and they can shift with your child's health or mood. Rather than focusing on numbers alone, look at the "profile of strengths and challenges" together with the person doing the assessment.
