My child doesn't want to draw / quits right away

At first, more than "drawing well," what matters is enjoying the act of drawing itself. Asking too much about a picture, like "What's this?", can make your child feel judged and lose interest. Instead, offer words that recognize the act of drawing itself: "You look like you're having fun drawing," "Nice color."

Tools and settings that make success easy, like thick crayons and large paper, also help. If the hands and shoulders aren't developed yet, drawing tires them out, so start with scribbling and enjoy it without pushing.
