Self-Care (Toilet, Dressing & Hygiene)
My child isn't dry at night / keeps wetting the bed. Will training speed it up?
Nighttime urination (bedwetting) depends on bladder development and how deeply your child sleeps, and it works differently from daytime toileting. It isn't something training speeds up. The basic approach is to wait for the body to be ready. It's fine to keep using diapers at night only.
Don't scold or rush. Use a waterproof sheet and watch over them. If frequent bedwetting continues past age 5 or 6, or if the amount is large or has suddenly increased and you're concerned, talk to your pediatrician.
