Sitting & Posture
What if my child's back becomes rounded while sitting?
Low muscle tone or limited trunk endurance can make upright sitting tiring. Make sure the child's feet and pelvis are supported, provide support at the trunk if needed, and practise for short periods during an engaging activity. Change position when the child tires rather than repeatedly telling them to sit straight. Seek physiotherapy advice if posture is markedly asymmetrical, painful, or worsening.
