Sitting & Posture

What if my child falls over as soon as they sit?

Start with enough support for your child to sit safely. As their control improves, gradually move your hands lower—from the upper trunk toward the waist and then the hips—rather than removing support all at once. Place cushions around the child and stay close so practice remains safe. A physiotherapist can advise if sitting is not progressing or one side is consistently weaker.
