When one hand stops moving

Doing different things with each hand is very advanced work. Place your hand over the hand that stops (the one whose job is to hold steady) and say "hands, hold it," to remind them of its role. Increasing everyday experiences of the "helper" role—holding paper steady, holding a container steady—helps this develop.
