When your child can't remember names

We remember the names of things along with information like their features, meaning, and the experiences we've had with them. But colors have no information beyond the color itself, so until it's firmly learned it's easy to get confused, and there are many children who have a hard time remembering. Having them hear or say many color names at once may confuse them and put them off. Start with something as light as saying the name when their attention turns to a color in the flow of your interaction.
