When your child can't remember the names of shapes

Rather than teaching it as a lesson, call it out each time you come across it in daily life: "A rice ball, it's a triangle," or "A tire, it's a circle." Real objects stick in memory better than cards. Before having them say the name, it comes first to let them choose: "Which one is the circle?"
