When your child doesn't do pretend play
Show them how it's done. Pretending to drink from a cup, pretending to feed a doll: recreating scenes from their own daily life is easy to step into. Starting with realistic-looking toys (miniature dishes and the like) helps bridge the way to imaginative play.
