When your child doesn't understand others' intentions

Put other people's feelings and intentions into words on the spot, like an interpreter: "Mommy wants this one," or "Your friend is saying he'd like to borrow it." Pretend play, where your child takes on a different role, is also great practice for experiencing another person's point of view.
