When my child doesn't follow my gaze

Showing an object with just the movement of the eyes is still a difficult stage. Move your whole face to point, and start within their field of view and at a close distance. It also helps grow gaze exchanges when you match what your child is looking at and respond, "You're looking, it's a doggie!"
