Responding to Sound & Voice
If your child doesn't turn toward your voice
Practice turning toward sounds they're interested in, like a rattle or a favorite song. When they turn, meet their eyes with a smile and say, "You heard it!" Calling their name at moments when they're likely to respond works well. If their response to sound is weak overall, have their hearing checked.
