When my child can't turn a lid

Start with large, light lids (like a wide-mouth container). Have the adult loosen it beforehand, and let the child do just the final turn. The wrist-twisting motion is difficult, so place your hand over theirs and turn "round it goes" together to convey the feel. Putting a favorite treat inside makes a real difference in motivation.
